Static

Virgil Ovid Hawkins (バージル・オーヴィッド・ホーキンス, Bājiru Ōvitto Hōkinsu), also known as "Static" (スタティック, Sutatikku), is a fictional character and protagonist of the Marvelous DC's Teenage Ninja Shock series created by C. B. Cebulski and Jim Lee.

He is a high school student in Dakota. As a result of accidental doused exposure to an experimental chemical mutagen in an event known as the "Big Bang" in a gang war he was caught up in, he gained the ability to control and manipulate a variety of electromagnetism.

From than on, he uses these powers to become the most prominent costumed crusader superhero against crime. Like most teenage heroes, he is often overwhelmed by the combined responsibilities of his career as both a superhero and typical adolescent problems.

Countless others who were also exposed by the said mutagen have also gained a wide variety of mutations and abilities, and Static spends much of his time dealing with these "Bang Babies", many of whom use their abilities in selfish, harmful, and even criminal ways.

"The name's Static. I put a shock to your system!"

—Static.
