Jellal Fernandes

Jellal Fernandes (ジェラール・フェルナンデス, Jerāru Ferunandesu), is both a fictional character and deuteragonist from the Fairy One Piece Tail series created by Hiro Mashima and Eiichiro Oda. He is a childhood friend of Erza and wizard in his own right.

Forced to work in the Tower of Heaven, he was a Dark Wizard who was manipulated by Ultear and desperately sought to revive Zeref via the R-System. At some point, he became Siegrain (ジークレイン, Jīkurein), a member of the Magic Council and the Fifth Saint.

He tricks the other Council members into firing Etherion at the tower, allowing it to absorb the weapon's magic energy to become operational. He is defeated in a duel against Natsu after he achieved Dragon Force, and is seemingly killed after the tower's destruction.

He is later found alive by the Oración Seis and revived to serve it, but he already suffering from amnesia and is shocked to learn of his past misdeeds from Erza. Jellal currently serves as a member and co-founder of Crime Sorcière, along with Ultear and Meredy.

Appearance

Jellal is a young man whose most prominent features are his blue hair and a red tattoo above and under his right eye, which he has had since his childhood.

Post-Timeskip

After 2 years later, while his physical appearance is virtually unchanged, save for his now longer, scragglier hair, his attire now consists of a dark coat, very similar to the one he stole from the Naked Mummy member, only with heart like designs running down the sleeves and sides of the coat. Beneath this, Jellal wears plated armor, which covers his abdomen, and dark pants bearing the symbol of Crime Sorcière. On top of all this, Jellal sports a dark, high-collared cloak.
